Jimbo catches flak for renaming Meghan Markle

Jimmy apparently likes to do big moves every now and then to satisfy his ego. He did so in the case of Meghan Markle who today married Prince Harry of the United Kingdom and was given a new official title. Various editors, including Jytdog, are complaining about Jimbo's action. Most notably, he did ...

Re: Stefan Molyneux

Interesting thing I just noticed is that in the referrals to my Medium post, there is a reference to "ticket.wikimedia.org" an that site appears to be for OTRS. Appears my piece may have been referenced in an OTRS request.

Re: K. e. Coffman's vendetta against dead Germans now at ArbCom

Checked back and the case is now open . The evidence phase so far is focused just on Coffman and the editor he reported, but ArbCom is apparently being open-ended about the whole thing. In an "information" box they state: The Arbitration Committee has not decided on a specific scope – instead, the C...

It didn't work though. We see it as distractionary nonsense.
Well, that thread did end up mostly discussing her insinuations rather than her conduct. She probably doesn't care if people over here are not so distracted.

Re: Wikipediocracy's failure is a joy to watch

Let's agree to disagree about 18 year olds but as far as Molly White is concerned, that question is moot. As a college graduate in her 20s, she is more qualified than both Gates and Zuckerberg were when they started their companies. More qualified on paper, perhaps, but she seems to lack the kind o...

Re: Wikipediocracy's failure is a joy to watch

Incompetent for ArbCom? How can there be such a thing? ArbCom is a kangaroo court full of dummies lording over other dummies. Super tedious and stupid. A huge demotivator and drain on the project. Do you have any examples of her incompetence? When she first ran she argued Phil Sandifer posting Cla6...

Re: Wikipediocracy's failure is a joy to watch

I don't think it was stupid of Kumioko at all. Back when GW first ran, Risker had declined running again and she was the only female (oh no, watch out!) admin running. Several of the voter guides specifically mentioned her being a woman as a reason to vote for her. At the time, I noted she seemed in...

Re: Wikipediocracy's failure is a joy to watch

Admittedly, old school Wikipedia Review was before my time, but I still don't see anything suggesting a specific wrong involving moderator powers. Not that it is saying a whole lot, but he always struck me as one of the cooler heads on there compared to the others. He didn't descend into nastiness t...

Re: Wikipediocracy's failure is a joy to watch

Well, as far as his moderator activities go, I haven't seen or heard any indication that he has conducted himself inappropriately to my recollection. Controversies over forum staff seem to center on the other parties.

So what is it with this Hersch character? He seems to have a particular dislike for everything British. Did he get turned down for Eton or something?
He's a Larouchite. They have a particular thing about the British.
