Continual overt hostility are also a effect of one issue fora. They are hanging together like boxers at the end of game, repeating the same hostilities, over and over. If there is some out of topic stuff, the subject changes often, and the hostilities stop, and you can return to the subjet. In this case Wikipedia criticism. It keeps the discussion a life.
