On This Day, "August 11: 106 – The region of Dacia, comprising parts of modern Romania, became a province of the Roman Empire." A surprisingly exact date for what must have been a complex process. The Wikipedia article says "Roman sources list the Dacia as an imperial province on 11 August 106." Reading the actual sources makes it clear that this is a date at which Decimus Terentius Scaurianus is mentioned as already having been inducted as governor. So what we know is that it had become a province before and not on that date.
